Fluid Applications Engineer

Posted: 5/03/2010
In the Boston/New Hampshire region, I am seeking a qualified Fluid Applications Engineer with lots of expertise in analyzing oil. I'm seeking "someone who smells like oil", in the sense that they must be very hands-on in performing oil analyses. Certifications like "OMA" (Oil Monitoring Analyst) or "CLS" (Certified Lubrication Specialist) are not required, at all, but might be helpful. The minimum educational requirement is a BS degree in Chemistry (or similar), and the position requires a substantial level of skill in data correlation, data analysis, and curve-fitting to determine fluid conditions and the best way to extend the utility of lubricants in industrial processes. Lots of industrial experience needed, as well as knowledge of tribology! My client's product-line is fluid/oil-monitoring sensors, so any experience with sensors and correlating sensor readings to oil analysis results would be a plus.
